Wild Flesh (‘Wild Vlees’, founded in 2015) produces work by theatre-makers Tamar Blom and Francesca Lazzeri. Within the collective they develop their own work, supported by creative producer Job Rietvelt.
Performance maker and visual artist Tamar Blom graduated from the Mime School at the AHK in 2014. The theatre he creates is an overall, physical experience focusing on direct communication beyond the rational.
Since graduating from the Mime School in 2016, performance maker and physical performer Francesca Lazzeri’s work has focused on capturing contemporary social and political themes in radical, powerfully physical performances full of potent images.
Creative producer Job Rietvelt graduated in Theatre Production at AHK in 2016. Alongside his work with Wild Vlees, he manages the international programme and development at the Theaterfestival Boulevard in Den Bosch.
Wild Vlees have performed both in the Netherlands and abroad. The production When everything is human, the human is an entirely different thing (2016) was nominated for the BNG Bank Theatre Award. In 2018, Wild Vlees was nominated for a Brabant Cultuur Prize.
Schweigman& has worked with Wild Flesh since 2017 in supporting their development as an independent performance company, with a focus on their artistic and creative growth as theatre-makers, artists and producer. The group also receives support from Theaterfestival Boulevard, Fonds Podiumkunsten, PLAN Talentontwikkeling Brabant, Festival Cement, Frascati Producties, Het Huis Utrecht and Theater Rotterdam.
In 2020 Wild Vlees are developing a new production in coproduction with Schweigman& and other partners.
