Huid (Skin) is a visual musical performance exploring touch and contact in a collaboration with the musicians of Slagwerk Den Haag. Percussionists rub, hit and caress the skin on the drum in search of sound. But what if the skin is still on the body? Besides creating a totally different sound, that contact also causes a reaction in the connecting bodies.
In a composition by Arnoud Noordegraaf with scenography by Theun Mosk, the physical performers of Schweigman& explore the potential of touch, searching for a purity of image, the tragedy and poetic perception of the skin. Feeling each other, using their body and skin as well as instruments, they explore the potential of touch.
