At the invitation of the Muziekgebouw, guest curator Theun Mosk, known as the scenographer of works by Boukje Schweigman, Michel van der Aa, Robert Wilson and others, will transform the Muziekgebouw into a ‘space-time experiment’: a sophisticated route through all sections of the Muziekgebouw and the Bimhuis, guided by two trained guides with flashlights. Furthermore, all the lights in the building are turned off – a unique feature. An exploration of space.
Along the way, anything is possible. Minimal pioneer Charlemagne Palestine performs, there is a world premiere of composer Peter Adriaansz by Asko|Schönberg, Sufi masters sing you to higher spheres. You’ll stumble upon installations by Tamar Blom or the musical theater animals of Touki Delphine. Sound magician Gerjan Piksen brings the entire Muziekgebouw to sound with hammers.
Minimal Music Festival is a coproduction of Ruimtetijd and Schweigman&.
